NOMOS stated that they wanted to make fine watchmaking appealing & affordable to a younger crowd, so the Club Campus was born.
The club signifies an achievement, for both the wearer and the company in this way. At its core is placed NOMOS's first in-house movement, the hand wound "Alpha" caliber.
Measuring only 2.6 mm high, with 17 Jewels, Glasshutte ribbing, thermally blued screws, Perlage and Snailing, it is a testament to the dedication to fine detail that NOMOS has for its products.
The standard steel case back makes the Club Campus the ideal graduation gift as it can be engraved, and in doing so It then becomes a lifelong token commemorating an important achievement. Yet for those of you that like to be mesmerized by the incredibly beautiful Alpha movement, an optional scratch resistant sapphire glass case back is also available!
The dial used in this collection is unlike any other NOMOS has produced. The combination of Arabic and Roman numerals is often called by collectors a "California Dial". Rolex first brought this design into prominence in the early 1930's, and were granted a patent for it in the early 1940's. The term "California Dial" though is a bit of a mystery, but might be explained by its with its popularity in the Golden State ( California).
The lume on the dial is truly incredible to see, and with a UV Light the seconds hand on the sub dial fluoresces! All in all, it's as unique as you or your graduate!
The collection is water resistant to 10 ATM so can be worn quite comfortably in and around water.
SIZING: The campus has two references in 38mm, and one in 36mm.
As standard, the Campus watches are fitted with our all time favourite, the NOMOS Velour strap. The Anthracite Velour (dark grey) & Light Grey Velour work with any style and colour of clothing. The velour is incredibly soft to the touch but at the same time very durable. So please trust us when we say that it will look as good in jeans as with more formal attire!
