Expressing "Akebono," the dawn, with its sense of new expectations, this stunning timepiece is inspired by the morning twilight, as the sky brightens with the sunrise. The three-dimensional, gloss coated, multi-layered dial, in rich gradated sapphire blue, framed by a black GMT bezel, includes rose gold accents to suggest the first glimmers of sun, as does the sharp sunray-like form of the markers and second hand. With 24-hour GMT hand, power reserve indicator, date display, and LumiBrite hands and markers, the dial also features the Presage Sharp-Edged Series' Asanoha hemp-leaf motif, a symbol of growth and prosperity dating to the Heian Period (794-1185 AD).

Crafted of stainless steel, with black hard coating, this extraordinary watch offers a 29-jewel automatic movement, with GMT complication, visible through the screwdown, see-through caseback, that beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, with a power reserve of approximately 45 hours and manual winding capability.
