Nearly sixty years after revolutionizing the dive watch in 1967 with the SUB 300 designed for the general public, DOXA builds on that rich legacy with the return of Grade 5 titanium to the permanent collection.

The choice of case material is no coincidence. With its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, mechanical rigidity, remarkable resistance to corrosion and comfort on the wrist, Grade 5 titanium has become a benchmark material in fields where performance leaves no room for compromise: aerospace, motorsport, advanced engineering – and diving equipment.

Naturally lighter than steel yet significantly stronger, Grade 5 titanium reduces weight on the wrist, improves comfort over extended periods and stands up remarkably well to even the most demanding marine environments. Its inherent corrosion resistance, excellent biocompatibility and durability make it ideally suited to DOXA’s philosophy of building watches for the long haul, both underwater and in everyday life.

The return of Grade 5 titanium marks another stage in the evolution of the permanent SUB 300 collection. Used for the case, crown and screw-in caseback, the material combines lightness, strength and corrosion resistance to exceptional effect.

Around 40% lighter than stainless steel while offering greater mechanical strength, Grade 5 titanium makes the SUB 300 Ti5 noticeably more comfortable on the wrist — day to day and over prolonged periods of wear.

Its hardness makes it highly resistant to mechanical stress, while the metal’s exceptional inertness makes it naturally resistant to seawater, humidity, temperature fluctuations and particularly harsh environments.
