Dating from 1961, this vintage Omega Constellation is reference 14381-61 SC, one of the classic early Constellation designs from a period when the collection represented Omega’s higher-grade chronometer production. Its proportions are distinctly of the era, with a case measuring approximately 34–35mm across, a silver-toned dial, applied baton markers and the familiar Constellation star above six o’clock.
Inside is Omega’s calibre 551, a 24-jewel automatic movement used extensively in chronometer-certified Constellation models of the period. This example has been fully serviced and is ready for regular wear.
The dial shows visible age-related patina, giving the watch the appearance expected of an original vintage piece rather than a newly restored example. The case and exterior also show some marks consistent with normal use over more than six decades, but overall the watch remains in good condition. The applied hour markers, dauphine-style hands and restrained dial layout give it a particularly clean, traditional appearance.
At roughly 35mm, the 14381 wears compactly by modern standards, but its long lugs and relatively open dial give it more presence on the wrist than the dimensions might suggest. It is a good example of the understated, dress-oriented Constellation watches Omega was producing at the beginning of the 1960s, and offers a fully mechanical, chronometer-grade vintage Omega in a size that remains very comfortable for everyday wear.
